Now we the people of Kerala are begging mercy from you..
Mullapperiyar Dam
Constructed and Commissioned year: 1895
Height: 155 ft
Length: 1200 ft
Total water capacity: 434.23 Million cubic (current water level is somewhere near 400 million)
Expiry of the damn: 50years from the commissioned date
Completed 115 years
Current Status of the Dam: there are cracks all over the dam,
There is 1200ft lengthy major crack in between 95ft and 105 ft; experts say dam will not stand to an earthquake reaching rector scale 4.5 to 5.00
Yeah everybody knows this from yesterday onwards from the TV channels.
That area is earthquake prone, everyday tremors are there in that place...so it's unpredictable.
What will happen if anything goes beyond human expectations...simply this:
If Mullapperiyar Dam does not survive beyond an earthquake: all the waters will flow towards Idukki dam which is another 80 Km steep down, which is holding a capacity of another 500 million cubic water, and there is another 3 more dams bellow Cheruthoni, Bhoothathan kettu, Idamalayar.
Can you imagine water flowing in 40ft thickness or height, it takes only 4 to 5 hours to reach Arabian Sea ie Kochi. Killing 2 to 3.5 million people; washing away more than 4 generations from 5 districts; Idukki, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta. Which will be recorded as the biggest devastation recorded in the history of the world.
Water will stop its flow reaching the 6th floor of Kerala high court in Ernakulam. And if all the waters are withdrawn to Arabian Sea, 5 districts will be covered by mud in 20ft height.
I am just holding my faith in God, praying for my dear ones for their safety and begging almighty please save that place from another earth quake.
ITS MATTER OF WATER FOR YOU, BUT LIFE FOR US....
Please compel your Govt to think its strategies again.... Or at least think how good u will feel by drinking Water corrupted by the BLOOD of 4 Million Neighbors....

Suspend the contract and build a new dam.
its upto Kerala for the action.
We dont consume their goods for free..
They dont work here for free.
Their movies are not shown here for free.
So why dont they pay us fair price for the water and electricity!
